Plant Systems

Plant Systems

If you like gardening, plants and the science of how things grow, this career pathway may be ideal for you. People who work in the Plant Systems pathway study plants and how they impact our world.

Plant Systems professionals help feed our growing population by monitoring the quality and safety of our food and helping consumers make sensible nutritional decisions. They also solve problems by developing crops that are resistant to insects and improve models to grow more food with less space. Others work to conserve our natural resources. Technology advancements in equipment and biotechnology keep this field evolving into new and exciting career opportunities.
