Operations Manager
Operations managers are responsible for overseeing the operational activities at every level of an organization, making sure that they run smoothly. They identify ways that manufacturing operations can meet production and sales demands in a cost-optimized, safe and environmentally responsible manner. Operations managers clearly define goals and objectives that promote and maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement in all areas of operation.

What Responsibilities Will I Have?
- Oversee all company operations, facilities and operations staff
- Define direction and goals of plant activities and create alignment with and among teams
- Find opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Research methods to improve manufacturing processes
- Improve operational systems, processes and policies
- Communicate and build relationships with external and internal teams
- Monitor processes to see if they are on track to complete goals
- Manage, coach and mentor operations staff through growth plans
- Apply a strong understanding of people and performance management processes
- Ensure product and packaging requirements are met between the farm and facility
- Lead health and safety meetings and review notes to develop new policies
- Ensure production follows health and safety requirements
- Act as a liaison with state and local government agencies and the company
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Ensure that good housekeeping and safe operating procedures and practices are followed throughout the facilities

Education/Training Required:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in agricultural business, business administration, organizational management or a related field is required.
