Human resources (HR) managers plan, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization. They oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff and serve as a link between an organization’s management and its employees. Additionally, they provide direction to employees on all human resources-related policies and procedures.

¿Qué responsabilidades tendré?

  • Implement and support company policies
  • Understand human resources laws and ensure that companies follow them
  • Serve as the company representative in the termination of employees
  • Ensure consistency in HR practices across the department
  • Conduct new hire on-boarding and early engagement for all new employees
  • Serve as an adviser for human resources issues to leadership
  • Find innovative ways to recruit and retain new talent
  • Advise employees on their work benefits and pay issues
  • Provide management with human resources-related information reports
  • Work with individuals in charge of payroll
  • Provide direction to employees on related policies and procedures
  • Conduct human resources audits and risk assessments
  • Work with leadership teams to develop HR strategies that are aligned with corporate values and business objectives
  • Support the annual HR budgeting process
  • Handle dissolving employee conflict
  • Actively promote a positive workplace culture through HR initiatives
  • Develop and execute communication plans when acting out HR functions
  • Oversee all employee development programs including on-boarding, employee engagement, training and continued education
  • Assist employees in creating career goals and plans while building the organization’s talent pipeline

Formación requerida:

A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, agricultural business or a related degree can prepare you for a career as a human resources manager and is required. Many employers may prefer that you have a certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) or HRCI (HR Certification Institute), which require tests to obtain and continued education credits to renew.
