Supply chain managers are responsible for the management of goods, materials, services and/or equipment of either a division of a company or an entire company. They are responsible for ensuring that companies have enough materials for production and coordinate finished products leaving the facility through contract negotiations and service programs.

¿Qué responsabilidades tendré?
- Work directly with operations, co-packer operations and supply planning to ensure demand and inventory targets are met
- Develop supply chain strategies
- Establish service programs to match company requirements
- Undertake major contract negotiations with suppliers within the approved pricing policy
- Contribute to the development of established supply policies and procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors
- Prepare reports and communicate inventory measurements to management
- Resolve issues that arise during production (e.g., delays in delivery)
- Ensure that supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
- Develop and monitor distribution requirement plans (plan that makes the delivery of goods more efficient)
- Work closely with sales, marketing and customer service to identify needed inventory adjustments
- Maintain documentation and operating procedures for the supply and demand planning process
- Work with finance, sales and manufacturing teams during new product development
- Identify and manage risk within the supply chain (e.g., accounting for poor weather conditions or strikes)
- Facilitate and recommend re-engineering, best practices and consensus for processing conditions
- Follow current news and trends on issues that might cause supply chain issues
- Audit supply companies
- Establish key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance and improve company alignment with established goals

Formación requerida:
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or another business-related degree is appropriate. Some jobs may require a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
