Auditor

Auditors (specifically internal auditors) are employed by businesses to evaluate the accuracy and integrity of finances and internal operations of a business. They may act in an advisory role, making recommendations on company financial risks and cost-saving measures. Using this information, auditors will examine and prepare financial documents in written reports explaining their findings.

  • Analyze the financial aspects of a company order to confirm the accuracy of finances and reports
  • Collect, check and analyze data
  • Identify, analyze and prioritize business risks
  • Participate in and/or manage projects from conception to implementation
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of a company’s existing systems of accounting
  • Monitor compliance with corporate systems and procedures
  • Determine which clients are an asset and help protect them from financial losses
  • Determine the reliability and effectiveness of how financial records are reported
  • Assign, supervise and review work performed by audit teams
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare presentation and reports that summarize audit findings
  • Make recommendations for cost savings
  • Manage audit project timelines
  • Assist external auditors during their auditing process
  • Ensure that companies are following respective laws

Formación requerida:

At the minimum, an auditor should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, although a master’s degree or certification may provide more job opportunities.
