System, Database and Technical Architect/Administrator
System, database and technical architects and administrators design, organize and maintain systems that store and secure important data, such as financial records, crop data and customer information. They ensure data is accessible to authorized users, protected from breaches and backed up to prevent loss. This includes troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance and implementing upgrades that support business objectives.
What Responsibilities Will I Have?
- Design data systems for complex business needs
- Develop and integrate databases and data models
- Install, configure and maintain servers and networks
- Implement security measures across systems and databases
- Monitor system performance and availability, ensuring they scale to meet growing needs
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and system issues
- Plan and test upgrades to platforms and database management system (DBMS) software
- Coordinate backups and disaster recovery operations
- Specify user roles and access controls
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and constraints
- Document standards, procedures and configuration changes
- Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and junior staff
