The main priority of poultry hatchery managers is to oversee the operational responsibilities of the hatchery to ensure performance is at the highest possible level. This includes the management of personnel, eggs and equipment. They manage and coordinate hatchery activities such as egg pickup, delivery, care, incubation, hatching, grading, vaccination, preparation and shipping of chicks.

¿Qué responsabilidades tendré?
- Manage and coordinate hatchery day-to-day breeder operations to ensure the required quantity and quality of hatch eggs are available
- Oversee a quality assurance program that ensure standards are upheld for safety, quality and team member satisfaction
- Monitor facility equipment and complete repairs or request repairs as needed
- Oversee hatchery sanitation
- Keep a current knowledge of industry trends
- Manage animal welfare program
- Analyze budget requirements for operations and ensure program expenditures meet state and federal requirements
- Comply with all company policies and animal welfare guidelines
- Manage chick care, maintenance, packing and transfer activities
- Manage and maintain weekly hatch schedules
- Directly supervise employees and assist in the ongoing planning and development of staff
