They create improved systems by collaborating with colleagues to determine where computer software and technologies can help them in their roles. Computer analysts help to supervise the installation of new systems, determine cost benefits and continuously review if the systems are working.

- Consult with management to understand organizational needs
- Analyze the cost and benefits of different IT systems
- Develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches
- Test instruction manuals and train system and end users
- Write technical documentation
- Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems

Formación requerida:
Computer systems analysts typically have an associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming or a related field.
