Curriculum Developer
Curriculum developers create educational materials using the latest instructional technology. They analyze the organization and the needs of participants/students to develop instructional materials. Curriculum developers oversee the implementation of this educational content and guide teachers and educators. They conduct assessments to evaluate program efficiency and make modifications as needed to improve effectiveness.
What Responsibilities Will I Have?
Assess the organization and student goals for education and desired learning outcomes
Research subject matter and collaborate with experts in the field to ensure up-to-date requirements
Create engaging instructional materials and curriculum
Align educational materials with the organization’s objectives
Implement education programs and oversee teaching standards
Guide teachers and educators, coaching and training
Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and analyze student proficiency
Revise curriculum to meet learning needs
Confirm materials align with educational regulations and standards
Keep updated on the latest instructional technology and trends
Order instructional materials, equipment and technology learning programs

Education/Training Required
Curriculum developer and instructional coordinator roles require a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education, instructional design or curriculum development and a state teaching credential. Most also have a master’s degree in education, instruction or curriculum development.
