  • Conduct audits of food manufacturing facilities
  • Travel to facilities across the country to perform on-site inspections

  • Talk with production workers to understand daily operations

  • Teach and guide clients on how to improve food safety practices

Education/Training Required

A bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, chemistry, microbiology or a related field is required. Auditors also need to complete specific training courses depending on the organization they work for.
