Dairy farm employees assist in daily operations on the dairy. This can include husbandry, milking, calving, feeding and breeding. Additionally, they ensure milk quality and safety is not compromised by following standards. They also assist in breeding programs including artificial inseminations and synchronization, help identify sick animals and work with veterinarians to determine proper treatment.

¿Qué responsabilidades tendré?
- Maintain cattle husbandry including proper access to food and water
- Perform and assist in milking operations
- Assist in the tagging and feeding of calves
- Assist in vaccination programs
- Maintain and assist in the development of the dairy infrastructure including fences and barns
- Maintain proper cleaning and sanitization of the milking parlor after each milking
- Ensure the highest level of milk quality and safety
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare
- Take milk samples from tanks
- Maintain proper cleaning and sanitization of the tanks after milk is picked up by transport trucks
- Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns and pens

Formación requerida:
A high school diploma is required. Although it is not always required, an associate degree in animal science or animal husbandry would be recommended for administrative roles including operations manager.
