Técnico en cría en agua salada
Saltwater husbandry technicians are responsible for general farm operations including the feeding and care of fish grown in a saltwater habitat. Their duties require them to test and maintain saltwater levels and feeding techniques to promote optimal growth of saltwater fish.

¿Qué responsabilidades tendré?
- Operate and maintain auto feeders, boats and equipment
- Have familiarity with fish growth and stock management
- Operate and maintain plumbing and scuba equipment
- Collect bottom gravel samples and analyze for silt, size fractions, etc.
- Perform laboratory analysis of water quality samples
- Measure amount and quantity of spawning areas
- Prepare diets for fish and apply appropriate feeding strategies to grow and manage fish welfare, either through hand-feeding or auto-feeding techniques
- Test and maintain saltwater levels to promote optimal fish growth
- Keep records of all data and develop these into statistical reports
- Schedule, service and calibrate repairs and install sampling instrumentation
- Monitor fish activity and conduct environmental monitoring and sampling activities to ensure proper fish welfare
- Maintain a clean and safe site by performing simple maintenance and following biosecurity guidelines

Formación requerida:
To be a saltwater husbandry technician, a bachelor’s degree or higher is required in ecology, marine biology, animal science, zoology, natural resource management, aquaculture, fisheries science or a related field.
