Especialista en comportamiento animal
Animal behaviorists research and study animal behavior and then recommend training and treatment plans. They work with pets, livestock and sometimes wildlife to address issues such as aggression, anxiety and compulsive behaviors. They develop behavior plans, advise caretakers on training and environment and work with other professionals to support the animal’s well-being.

Education/Training Required
A bachelor’s degree in biology, animal science, zoology, psychology or ethology followed by a master’s or doctoral degree in animal behavior is required.
Additionally, behaviorists may pursue a veterinary route, earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Veterinary behaviorists must complete a residency in veterinary behavior. During this residency, candidates handle supervised clinical cases, author a research paper and pass a comprehensive exam to earn board certification through the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB).
